The beauty of spring in New England is varied and unforgettable. Among the amazing abundance nature offers is the striking display of Vermont’s native wildflowers. The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is offering an opportunity to see an array of both common and rare wildflowers with the Orchid Walk in Eshqua Bog.
On Saturday, June 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., local naturalist Sarah Schwaegler will lead participants in a one-mile walk through Eshqua Bog in Hartland, VT. The bog hosts an assortment of wildflowers in woodland and wetland habitats. The striking display of the show lady’s-slippers in bloom is a beautiful sight you don’t want to miss!
The wildflower walk is $7 for non-members and $5 for VINS members. Registration is requested by calling 802-359-5000 x223.
Throughout the spring and summer, VINS Nature Center in Quechee, VT will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will offer live raptor programs throughout the season.
