Surry, NH, July 24, 2012  – Budget Blinds of Keene – a local franchise of  the largest and fastest growing window covering company of its kind in the United States, was invited to bid on adding safety and security to the newly constructed Lebanon Middle School facilities.  A total of 171 blackout shades produced by The Draper Company, the leading manufacturer of window coverings for educational and institutional facilities, were installed to meet the security plan for the school.

Draper is the same company that Budget Blinds used for a similar application at the new Keene Middle School earlier ths year.

Larry Sportello, Owner/Operator of the area Budget Blinds franchise, noted that “Fulfilling the needs of schools has special significance, with the events of recent months necessitating increased security for our children and the teachers ad staff who look after them”,

Lockout or security shades are in fact blackout roller shades, so designated as they are often installed internally to be used to eliminate visibility into classrooms or office space in the unlikely event of an intruder in the building.

Lebanon School Board member and Building Committee chair Laura Dykstra noted, “After an exhaustive search and qualification process, we selected Budget Blinds with a belief the shades would be of high quality and the installation and follow up would be professional, with attention to detail.”

We were equally impressed with the speed at which Phase I was completed, and have now contracted them to supply solar shades for the building’s exterior windows.

Budget Blinds of Keene proudly serves homeowners and businesses throughout Southwest New Hampshire, the Upper Valley, southern and central Vermont, offering complementary in-home estimates and consultations, professional measuring and no charge installation, and a rich selection of quality window treatments including shutters, blinds, draperies, shades, and window film.  Budget Blinds works with over 25 leading window covering manufacturers such as Draper,  Norman Shutters, Kathy Ireland Home by Alta, Lafayette, Hunter Douglas, including its own private label Signature Series line of window treatments.
